Using SmartPad with handheld devices running Palm OS 4.0

As a Palm developer, Seiko Instruments USA Inc., with the help of Palm Computing, has identified a problem within the 4.0 operating system or later, which affects the initialization of the Infra Red (IR) port within these new models.

The result of the IR initialization problem is an incompatibility between the current SmartPad applications and handheld devices running Palm OS 4.0.

This software update for the SmartPad will eliminate the problem and is available for download now.
